The LUNA2000-5-S0 is a high-voltage energy storage system (ESS) from Huawei’s LUNA2000-S0 series, with a basic usable energy capacity of 5 kWh.

The system is modular — it starts at 5 kWh and can be expanded (with additional modules) up to 15 kWh within the same generation (available in 5, 10, or 15 kWh versions).

It uses LiFePO₄ (Lithium Iron Phosphate) cells, offering 100% Depth of Discharge (DoD) — meaning the entire battery capacity can be used without any reserved buffer.

The system has an IP66 protection rating, allowing for both outdoor and indoor installation with excellent protection against dust and water.

For system management, it includes a power module (control unit/BMS) and one or more battery modules. In the basic 5 kWh configuration, it consists of one battery module (LUNA2000-5-E0) and one power module (LUNA2000-5KW-C0).

The system is designed to work with Huawei inverters (such as the SUN2000 series).
